About

Phillip Peloubet is a composer, producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. He is best known for lush and powerful soundscapes that cover a wide range of musical styles. From large sweeping orchestral animation scores to energetic pop tracks or intimate drama music featuring unique sound design and a solo from one of his ever growing collection of instruments, it is his diversity that has driven his career as an in demand composer.

Phillip began his composing career after graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2014 and moving out to Los Angeles. Shortly after he earned his first additional music credit for the Emmy award-winning documentary series Making A Murderer (Netflix) while working under renowned composers Kevin Kiner and Gustavo Santaolalla. Since then he has gone on to write music for hundreds of TV episodes including hit animated shows Gabby’s Dollhouse (Netflix) and Blue’s Clue and You (Nickelodeon), and TV dramas Narcos: Mexico (Netflix), Dark Winds (AMC), Marvel’s Agents of Shield (ABC) Doom Patrol (HBO), Titans (HBO), and Jane the Virgin (CW) among others. Outside of TV he has also collaborated with Formosa Interactive and NetEase Games, one of the largest video game developers in the world. Written together with his singer-songwriter wife, Annmarie, the Halloween music videos for survival horror game Identity V have been viral with the fans four years in a row. Phillip has also worked closely with the music software company Output, designing sounds used by A list producers and composers all over the world.

Phillip grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and spent his early years as a shredding lead guitarist in blues, rock, metal and ska bands that won multiple battle of the bands competitions and performed at venues as large as the House of Blues down to small basements of Harvard and MIT houses. He has bachelor’s degrees in both Film Scoring, and Music Production and Engineering.

Every year, Phillip chooses a new instrument to study with an accomplished player to continually evolve his musical palette that now includes guitar, bass, cello, oud, hurdy gurdy, erhu, ronroco, yayli tanbur, kemenche, mandola and countless percussion. When not working in music he enjoys playing competitive video games, hanging out with his Lhasa Apso studio dog, and traveling the world.
